day 2–we’re here

541We landed safe and sound. I snapped a couple of pics standing in the immigration line. The TACA flight attendents were very cordial and professional. Mom was so impressed that they would ask her if she wanted the whole bottle when they would pour her soda. And the breakfast was actually really good. (no red bean anything on this flight, Taiwan teacher friends) The flight to Costa Rica was on a brand new plane so it was super comfy. All in all, despite the luggage snafu and the frequent flier mishap, we would recommend TACA.

The immigration line was long, but moved quickly. We were through immigration and customs and to our shuttle within 45 minutes of landing–not bad! My very first impression of the city when walking out of the airport was “yeah, this is nice.” It was cool, but not cold. It was green and mostly clean. And I knew I was only a few minutes away from wherever in the city my children were. 🙂

  1. I think it might take a village to “TRY and keep up with Juan Pablo” HA!! (Just watch he is going to be the easiest of all, because of our teasing!) I was just thinking its a good thing you and Adam are seasoned travelers, could you imagine making this trip as your first international trip!? hummm….

  2. I am so glad you guys got there safe! Sorry about the luggage I hadn’t heard about luggage being over sized either craziness. I hope you are enjoying yourselves and taking care of my momma! I can’t wait to meet the munch kins! Love y’all!

  3. You’re actually in Colombia. How stinking awesome is that. Robert is really missing his buddy. Perhaps we will go and sit in your house just to be closer to you… we sound like stalkers. 🙂

  4. Oh, I do not know how you are handling it! I would be going crazy, half tempted to knock on every door until I found my children or nervously anixous that I had not done enough to prepare and that I left half the stuff I needed back home. Jena’s right. It is a good thing that you guys are seasoned travelers. I think the rest of us might have threatened to cause a riot and call all the loccal and U.S. news stations that we could think of and get a phonebook for the rest, if they would not let us aboard with our baggages.
