This blog is designed to tell the world about our experiences in adopting. Specifically, we are adopting from Colombia through Commonwealth Adoptions International. Our home study is being done through Wasatch International Adoptions. We look forward to hearing from anyone interested in the process, or who can share their own insights. We don’t really think we’re crazy, but maybe you do. Let us prove you wrong! 🙂
Rachel and Adam, I am in your ward and have watched you with your sweet sunshines. Infact Juan Pablo was in my husbands primary class last year. I just finished reading your ENTIRE Journey blog and I think all of your current family blog too. My heart goes out to you and I am so intrigued by your family. My husband and I had our daughter after 15 months of trying. A little long, but no reason for concern right? WRONG. After two years of trying for #2, we have now been told that IVF is our ONLY option to more biological children. I’m okay without having another child right now, but what about in a year or two? I’ve been so torn on what to do and how to do it and … you know what I mean. Thankyou for sharing your thoughts and feelings, now I know I’m not crazy for feeling the way I do. You’ve made adoption seem so much more attainable for me. I get overwhelmed so easily, but it’s been amazing to see your path and to know what the steps are. I am so happy that your family will be an eternal one at the end of this week. How amazing that will be to see your children dressed in white. I am truely happy for you. Thank you for sharing your amazing story with me, I am forever grateful to know that I am not alone, and to know that you have found joy in your journey.
