day nine–welcome home, kind of

859Well, at least to our home away from home! We all piled in the van and headed to our apartment. (One more note about Zuetana–we had no hot showers the three days we were there) The children “knew” we were going to our new home, but on the ride there Ezzy got really sullen and quiet. The other children were looking around and chatting, but she was on the verge of tears. When we arrived at the apartment building and the kids recognized where we were, her face perked up and she visibly relaxed her shoulders. Little Ezzy thought we were taking them back to Club Michin.

I was so glad to leave Zuetana. I threw up the morning we were packing up. I don’t know if it was a bug or something I ate, but I was sick to my stomach for a couple of days. The kids, at that point were still a little scared and very manageable so Adam was able to take them to the park while mom and I packed our stuff up. Thanks, honey! Luckily, no one else got it so it must of been something I ate.

  1. Remember when the only tangible evidence you had of your children was your binder, and you would hold it thinking of them?
